Modem
1. I am not getting any response from the modem. Check that the correct modem is selected, and that an appropriate Nokia modem driver is installed in the virtual infrared COM port as shown in the Windows 95/98 user guide which is available in the Guides section.
The communication application requires that the user uses a Nokia TAPI driver or connects directly to the COM port. Use this COM port - open infrared monitor and options:"Providing application support on COMx".
2. When I am attempting a dial-up connection, the phone loses the connection and I receive the message "check the operator services". The data service is not activated on your SIM card. Contact your GSM operator.
3. My mobile phone modem does not work after shutting down the computer. Disable Plug and Play in the infrared monitor. Remove all modem entries that apply to your phone. There should only be one modem entry for your mobile phone.
4. During the dial-up connection procedure my computer disconnects. What can I do? Remove all the modem drivers that apply to your phone as follows:
