1. There is an IrCOMM upgrade needed for Windows 2000. If your PC is running Windows 2000, make sure that you have upgraded it with the IrCOMM patch. Without the IrCOMM patch installed, you will not be able to make data calls with your PC using your 7110 phone. Updates for Windows are available from the Microsoft Download Center at: www.microsoft.com.

4. Is it possible to connect to the Internet through my mobile phone using Windows NT Workstation 4.0 with an infrared port? If the IrDA driver is supported by an operating system, then a Nokia mobile phone will allow a connection. Windows NT 4.0 does not have an IrDA driver as opposed to Windows 95 and 98, which has a Microsoft infrared monitor.

5. Can I install my Nokia phone from the infrared monitor by choosing "Enable software installation for Plug and Play devices in range"? No it is not advisable. With the Nokia 8890 phone, you can find the modem driver installation software on the CD-ROM which also contains the modem driver for your phone, for use with Win 95/98 (IrDa & cable) and with Win NT (cable). The DLR-3 cable is sold as an accessory.
