Sharing your media online

You can post images, video clips and sound clips straight from your device to compatible online sharing services, such as albums and blogs. You can also also view and send comments to the posts in these services, and download content to your compatible Nokia device. For sharing your photos, for example, you can use Share on Ovi and Flickr network services.


The supported content types and the availability of the Share online services may vary.


Note that you have to have an existing user account with the online service. To subscribe to an online sharing service, go to the service provider’s website and check that your Nokia device is compatible with the service. Create an account as instructed on the web site. You will receive a user name and password to set up your device with the account.


 Nokia’s services in the online sharing service are free of charge. Any data transferred over the network may incur charges from your service provider. Contact your service provider or the relevant third party for more information on the services and data transfer costs.


Activate and start using sharing online

  1. Select Photos icon from the application shortcuts in your Home screen > Share online.
    • You can also access by selecting Menu > Internet > Share online.
  2. Choose the service you want to activate, and select Options > Activate.
  3. Allow the network connections. If you are prompted for an Internet access point, select one from the list.
  4. Sign in to your account as instructed on the service provider’s website.
  5. When you have successfully signed in, your device will recognise your account automatically, and your account is accessible straight from the Share online application.
    • You can, for example, upload your media and explore and comment on your friends’ posts by just opening the Share online application.

Create a post

  1. Select Photos icon from the application shortcuts in your Home screen > Share online.
    • You can also access by selecting Menu > Internet > Share online.
  2. Select Menu > Internet > Share online.
  3. Choose the service, and select Options > New upload.
  4. Fill in the necessary fields, and select Insert media to add an image, audio or video to the post.
    • You can add a title, description, tags, location, and adjust the level of privacy.
    • The fields may vary depending on the service you are using.
  5. Select Upload media.

Facebook and Youtube

You can also keep in contact with your friends with the pre-installed Facebook application in your device. 5730 XpressMusic also supports Youtube video streaming: you can watch Youtube videos wherever you go.

Easy access to your Facebook profile:

  1. Select Facebook icon from the application shortcuts in your Home screen.
    • You can also access by selecting Menu > Internet > Facebook.
  2. Sign in with your user ID and password.

To watch Youtube videos, just open your Web application, browse to the Youtube website, find the video you want to watch, and just start playing it.
