1. What are the minimum requirements for my PC to use the Nokia Audio Manager?

To use the Nokia Audio Manager, you need the following:

  • Windows 98, Windows ME, or Windows 2000 (Windows XP users read compatibility information below)
  • a primary USB port (version 1.1)
  • Pentium MMX 266 MHz processor (or a more recent version)
  • a minimum of 48 MB RAM memory
  • 35 MB free space in the Hard Disk. These are the requirements for installing the software, and the additional free space is necessary for music files
  • CD-ROM drive

2. Is Nokia Audio Manager 2.0/2.1/2.1 compatible with Windows XP?

The current version of Nokia Audio Manager 2.0 /2.1 does not have "Designed for Microsoft Windows XP" certification. However you can enable a current version of Nokia Audio Manager 2.0 / 2.1 to work with Microsoft Windows XP by following the instructions below.

3. How do I make Nokia Audio Manager 2.0/2.1/2.1 work under Windows XP?

  1. Install Nokia Audio Manager 2.0 /2.1
  2. Reboot computer
  3. Attach Nokia 5510 via USB
  4. Wait till drivers install
  5. Reboot computer
  6. Attach Nokia 5510 via USB
  7. Go to: My Computer -> Control Panel -> System
  8. Go to: Hardware tab and click Device Manager
  9. Browse to Universal Serial Bus Controllers
  10. Right mouse click on the USB Mass Storage Device
  11. Select " Update Driver... "
  12. The Hardware Update Wizard will open
  13. Select " Install from a list or... " and click Next
  14. Select " Don't search. I will... " and click Next
  15. Select Nokia 5510 from the list and click Next
  16. Now Windows will warn you that the driver you selected hasn't passed " Windows Logo testing... "
  17. Click " Continue Anyway "
  18. " Driver installs... " Click Finish
  19. Another Found New Hardware Wizard opens
  20. Select " Install from a list... " and click Next
  21. Select " Don't search. I will... " and click next
  22. Select Internet Audio Device Interface from the list and click Next
  23. " Driver installs... " Click Finish

Now you can use your Nokia 5510 with Nokia Audio Manager 2.0/2.1 under Windows XP
