This PC application enables advanced local settings management for selected Nokia devices. The connection to the PC is established via USB. The software utilizes the SyncML Data Synchronization (DS) and Device Management (DM) protocols as defined by OMA (Open Mobile Alliance).
  • Manage: Internet Access Point (WLAN*, GPRS, CSD), email, OMA DS/DM, internet tel*, SIP*, and Instant Messaging* settings
  • Store: Store settings as an editable configuration file on a compatible PC
  • Clone: Copy OMA DM compliant settings from a pre-configured device into an editable configuration file
  • Transfer: Copy files and contacts from PC to device
  • Application installation: Applications can be installed to a device
* WLAN, internet tel, SIP, and Instant Messaging setting management are device-dependent

PC System Requirements

To install and use the Nokia Configuration Tool, you need the following:

  • A compatible Nokia device
  • A PC (personal computer) with Windows XP or Windows 2000 operating system (SP2 or newer)
  • Minimum display resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels
  • At least 4 MB of free disk space
  • Nokia PC Suite 6.7 or a later version
  • Internet Explorer 5.0 or later (for Nokia Configuration Tool help)
  • For connectivity, a USB connection port on your PC and a Nokia DKU-2 Connectivity Cable

Instructions

  1. Click the link Download now.
  2. If you accept the terms of the download, click Accept Terms and Continue
  3. Save the file in your preferred location, for instance the same folder as PC Suite.
  4. Browse to the downloaded file and click the file name. InstallShield Wizard starts the installation program.
  5. Follow the instructions on the screen, and note: You must read and accept the Licence agreement before continuing.
